The representation theory was raised again by Amrican scholars Hanna.Pitkin since the last century the system, It caused the attention of scholars. In the deliberative democracy, the representation is so important that we must focus on the representation. The representation is an important part of representative democracy. It should be said that the representative democracy achieved the representation theory . In the framework of contemporary democratic theory, representation has become the best way to achieve democracy. so it's necessary to sort out the representation.According to Pitkin, representative produced in the Middle Ages. In the Middle Ages, everything is ruled by theology. Politics has become the handmaiden of theology. At first it is not a political concept but a theology concept. In order to strengthen dominant force the church, Pope established in European countries and the Archbishop of agency. The Archbishop is sent to their dioceses by the Pope, in their parish , the bishop has the supreme power of God, Episcopal Delegate for the right of the Pope driving. But in the late Middle Ages, Theology declined, and politics began to the stage of history. In 1295 ,the"model parliament"held in British, bishops, nobles, knights and representatives of the three public representatives, The Parliament has made representation began to clues, but it is not very significant. To the times of Hobbes, he profound analysis of human nature. He proposed concept of two representatives, Natural representative and man-made representative. On this basis, he raised collectivism representative, in his opinion, the State is Leviathan, only Leviathan can achieve better to free people from"all people of all people of war"status. But Hobbes's view that the representative of the whole doctrine is difficult to achieve. Because"there is no real sense of representative government".Burke's representative view is biased on Hobbes's Representative ,and he has been a step forward in. In fact, it's a delegation conception, that is to say, representative's power is conferred by the voters rather than God or the monarchy. Their behavior should reflect the voters Representative the wishes and interests. But with the increasingly complex political realities, Burke's conception seems to have stretched the representatives of view.Burke's thought of the representation had effect on the Federalist. It can be reflected in Federalist's thought. Federalists proposed a more complex view of the representative. The Representative both includes Hobbes's a whole representation and Burke's delegation concept. Federalist used the Political parties representatives of these two up view of organic synthesis. they made the representatives theory more mature. This paper is end. The author sorts the history of representation theory. I think it is necessary to do this work, because readers can better understanding of representation. But because of the limited capacity of me, I hope the future scholars can complete it.
