On The Ideological And Political Education For Modern CPC Member Officials

The ideological and political education for modern CPC member officials is an important component in the party building and an important premise to consolidate the foundation of the Party's ruling. The modern CPC member officials are crucial to the leadership of CPC and key to the Party's team building. They lead and organize various affairs of the Party and the country, and develop and implement the Party's guidelines and policies. The world today is undergoing great developments, changes, and adjustments, the global ideological and cultural exchange, blending and confrontation tends to be covert, permeable and long-term. As China is now in the transition period, new changes have take place in the ideological field, i.e. diversification of ideological perceptions, weakening of ideological cohesiveness. At the same time, the ideological and political qualities of some CPC member officials fail to match the new situations and tasks, and deviate from the nature and tenet of the Party, thus severely weakening the Party's creativity, cohesion and capability, damaging the close relationship between the Party and the people, and affecting the Party's ability to consolidate its ruling status and achieve its mission. The profound changes of the world, China and the Party have brought many severe challenges to the political and ideological education for modern CPC member officials. How to strengthen the effectiveness of the political and ideological education has become a pressing question. Building on existing research findings, this Paper approaches this questions from three perspectives.Firstly, this Paper discusses the ideological and political education for modern CPC member officials and its significance. The term "Modern" herein refers to the period from 2000 onwards. Building on the previous research findings by other researchers, the Author defines the connotation of the ideological and political education for modern Party officials and analyzes the content, principles, features and significance thereof.Secondly, this Paper analyzes present situations of the ideological and political education for the modern CPC member officials. It analyzes the achievements and major issues in the area of ideological and political education, and presents an analysis of the causes of said issues. It is based on such analysis that this Paper puts forward some countermeasures in the following part.Thirdly, this Paper puts forward some countermeasures to enhance the effectiveness of the ideological and political education. By summarizing the present situations of the ideological and political education and building on the analysis of major issues and their causes, the Author puts forward some countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of the ideological and political education for modern CPC member officials, which serves also the fundamental purpose of this Paper.
