The Research And Investigation Of Changes Of Hong Kong Police Physical Fitness Test

This report aims at investigating the reasons for the change of the acceptance standard of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) of the Hong Kong Police Force, in particular the changes before and after the cancellation of the Annual Physical Test. Documentaries, questionnaires, interviews, logical and statistical analysis etc were adopted for analysis in order to summarize a point of view by the police officers about an attitude, cognition for PFT and Integrated Approach to Physical Fitness and Health Management (PHM). The investigation results as below:1. there is many reasons to affect a change of Physical Fitness Testing (PFT) of Hong Kong Police, not only the expectation of Hong Kong people, responsibility of police constable, but also included a special status in the Hong Kong society.2. A change of PFT was improved professional and health image of the Hong Kong Police in the world.3. A change of PFT was upgraded Hong Kong Police as a healthy image and an international city4. A change of PFT system was lack of scientific, but caring and taking of people as fundamental from society, government and civil to Hong Kong Police have been appeared.
