| As an important component of the villages autonomy system, village affairs is a major decision of the party and the government in the rural areas, an important way for farmers to manage rural affairs, to exercise their democratic rights and to safeguard the interests of farmers, an important part of strengthening and improving the rural grass-roots democracy, a necessary requirement to build a new socialist countryside and a socialist harmonious society. Currently, the village affairs has been fully open in the country, and achieved remarkable results, but still there are many issues of concern.In this paper, methods of empirical research and case studies have been combined. It starts from the development process and significance of village affairs, through analyzing the main measures to promote village affairs, the main results and problems of Foshan, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures to improve village affairs.This paper argues that, to promote the further development and improvement of village affairs in China's eastern coastal areas, we can start from the following four aspects. First, improve the system of village affairs and increase the efforts of the government to promote. Second, improve the supervision mechanisms in many ways. Third, make full use of modern science and technology to innovate the effective forms and means of village affairs. Fourth, develop the rural education, improve political participation awareness and participation skills of the cadres and masses.The possible innovation of this paper is that, through combining the methods of empirical research and case studies, it analysis the achievements, less and solutions of promoting the village affairs in the eastern coastal areas that on behalf of the direction of future development of village affaires in China, and strives to provide a reference for China's developed areas and areas that are about to enter the developed level that promote village affairs.
