The Study Of Copyright Based On The Balance Of Interests In Digital Age

Since September 1993 the U.S. announced to establish the infrastructures of information, the trends of global informationalization have begun. Human society is gradually shifting from the industrial society to the information society. Along with the changes of the social form, the way of information dissemination is gradually shifting from the "simulation era" to the "digital age". In this progress the copyright issue has begun the main conflict of the digital media and the traditional media.To realize the copyright balance of interests in the digital age,the article begins with the basic theory of copyright, and then analyses the principle of copyright balance. The article also proposes four dilemmas of copyright in the digital age--they are the loss of function on keeping balance, the extension of the law, the expansion of the force of the law and the challenges of fair use in the digital age. The article is also focused on the problem of piracy, especially on the internet piracy. Based on all these things, the article proposes advice on building a new system of copyright balance in the digital age.
