Studying China's diplomatic concept has been a lacking in the field of China's diplomacy. However, being a large political country with long history and civilization, and coming into the new century filled with opportunities and challenges, China needs a grand and wise diplomatic concept and corresponding diplomatic strategy.The development of China's diplomatic concept experienced three periods: Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao. The development is shown by their understanding of the world and China: their judgment of times topic change from"War and Revolution"to"Peace and Development", their understanding of the world structure change from"Two camp","Three worlds"to"several poles"and to"Close but not the same". Their understanding of China change from"world's revolutionary"to"one of several poles"to"responsible country". These changes showed different charities'of their diplomatic ideas:Mao's revolutionary Deng's realistic Jiang and Hu's open ideas.
