Modeling Method For Terrorist Social Network Based On Social Network Analysis

With the developing of global counter-terrorism, the structure of terrorist organization have changed dramatically. The hierarchy structure has been replaced by network structure, being the basic to terrorists'surviving and acting destructions. More and more researchers are focusing on analyzing the structure and acting of terrorist in the perspective of SNA. Using SNA, researchers have done a large quantity of researches to the terrorist events happened worldwide, constructing various terrorist networks. From the network that maps the linkage of the 19 hijackers of 9-11,to the network of Madrid bombings, then the structure chart of the Base, all these researches have revealed the characteristics of terrorist's structure for people to understand the formation, surviving and activities of terrorist organization.This essay successively discussed the construction of the terrorist network model in the perspective of social network analysis, from a network model to a meta-network model. The problem of the data missing that is often met in the study of social networks is inferred, and the network is sound. Finally, we empirically study the terrorist incidents occurred in Xinjiang, building the terrorist network model ,and analyzing the model to reveal the characteristics of the terrorist network, in the hope of providing an effective assistance to counter-terrorism.
