Administrative Approval Services At County Level: Performance, Corruption And Countermeasures

Administrative approval is the basic function of government service. This paper commits a case study on the administrative approval service in Funing County, Jiangsu Province and identifies the existing problems, corruption and their deep-seated reasons as well as countermeasures. This paper aims at providing some recommendations for the governmental agents, to transit their function, enhance their administration efficiency, close up the government and common people, and speed up the sound development of socialist modernization.This paper includes six Chapters. In Chapter 1, the study background, definition and literature review as well as main contents are described. The Chapter 2 introduce the current status of administrative approval service at the county level. The following Chapter 3 analyzes the performance of administrative approval service at the county level. In Chapter 4, the corruption and its major reasons are deeply discussed. Chapter 5 puts forward the concrete recommendations for improving the administrative approval service at the county level, such as enhancing the approval service arrangement, pushing the on-line approval and establishing a effective supervision and compensation mechanism. The last Chapter 6 expressed the conclusion of this paper.
