It has vast inland and quite long coastline .It is a land-sea power .which has both the superiority and the inferiority in geopolitics. The land-sea power always undertakes the tension from both the land and the sea. China also has the inferiority. And threatened by the U.S.-Japan military alliance, China is facing more challenges .To prevent the land powers and the sea powers from besieging China, China should develop healthy relations with its neighbors, especially with the two adjacent powers Russia and India.Sino-Russia relationship mainly features friendly. The two countries share many common national interests. Their friendly relations tally with the strategic interests of the two nations. But there are conflicts in the Sino-Russia strategic relationship. Russia has deep-rooted suspicions and distrusts in China for China is developing rapidly.Sino-India relationship has entered a new stage. The cooperation in military and economics between the two countries has been enhanced. However, containing China is included in the geo-political strategy of India. Besides, the border dispute has not been settled. The strategic objectives of the two countries are quite different. India resents that China keeps a close relation with other Southeast Asia countries. Therefore, India produces geo-political tension in the following fields: contain China making use of relations with the major powers; split China by the Tibetan issue; develop nuclear weapons; expand "Look East" strategy, cooperating with some countries in military.The three countries China, Russia and India have formed the triangular relationship, but the three bilateral relations are not equal.
