Studies On Situation, Problems And Development Countermeasures Of Tobacco Production In Xuancheng Tobacco Region

Tobacco is an important economic crop. In recent years, it has very high economic benefit, its tax lays first one among industry and commerce in China. Therefore, it plays an important role in economic development of our country.XuanCheng city is located in the south of AnHui province. The natural ecological environment is very adapted to produce the tobacco. It was determined one of the best region to plant tobacco in China. The tobacco produced from Xuancheng region has a special type of good quality, it has been praised in quality check and manufacture processing in past many years.There are more than 30 years for Xuancheng city to plant tobacco. It ever had a very significant achievement in planed economic times. Since China join WTO. Xuancheng city tobacco face to chance and challenge with open police of cigarette market.This paper studied the characteristics of tobacco and developing tendency of cigarette in China and all other countries of the world, meanwhile, analyzed the impacts of international tobacco and cigarette group on our country tobacco and cigarette industry. The countermeasures were also put forward.According to the history of tobacco developing in Xuancheng city and the author experiences working for tobacco production for many years. Through a lot of the social and literature investigation, the main problems of tobacco developing in Xuancheng city was analyzed, There were: (1) tobacco varieties degeneration; (2) The scale of peasant household planting tobacco is not reasonable;(3) The selection of planting tobacco environment is not suitable; (4) The agricultural technological extension and the check measurement is not perfect; (5) The quality was not completely under control; (6) Lay particular stress on yield, and there is not good relationship between yield and quality.
