On Transnational Corporation's Effects On International System

International System stemming from Treaty of Westphalia changes constantly in the long period of history.It experienced from the regime which was loose and un-integrated and unfair to the unity which is more tight and integrated and interdependent.International System manefsts mainly two conspicuous characteristics after the Cold War.One is that westen power led by America expanding greatly;and the other is the developing extent of globalization deepening gradually. Transnational Corporations (TCs)has been developing rapidly since 1960's;it shows new developing climax especially after 1990's.As a economic transnational unity,TCs,which takes part in the process of international political system,has influenced continuously International System. Those influences make some effects on International System through two characteristics we have talked about.Those influences are mainly as follows:First,while profiting developing countries ,westen power increases globally it's power expansion through TCs because westen power led by America considers TCs as an important means of implementing it's global strategy,and because it intends to design a new international economic and political order according to it's own interests.Second,TCs is an important factor and means by which globalization was implemented and achieved.TCs accelerates the process of economic globalization.However,westen countries,especially America,are at the position of core and play a ruling role at every level of globalization. In other words,there exists unseen torrents of westen power constantly in globalization. How should we consider the great expansion of Capitalism System?We don't think present world is unipolarity only because the predominance of America and it's intention of unipolarity hegemony.On the contrary,multipolarization is a necessary trend of world in 21st century.Through the analysis of TC's effects on International System, we come to a conclusion:TCs is not a power of changing International System,but a basic power which shapes International System.TCs accelerates westen power led by America power expansion and hegemony intention through it's transnational action.However,we should know that present International System is not unipolar,and the trend of multipolarization is developing continuously This articl was divided into four parts: Part one:First,this artlcle analyzed the concept of International System,then summed up the model of International System which once existed in history and it's present condition in post-cold war and it's future prospect.It also pointed out that America will still play a predominant role in international politics and security in the period of several years. Part two:It described the formation and development of TCs. TCs has made great progress both at quality and scale and at the number of investment and oversea's offshoots.Then,it categorized the kind of TCs;and it's behavior characteristics in international politics. Part three:It analyzed theoretically the relations between TCs and the global expansion of westen power.On the one hand,TCs reinforced the predominant role of westen power in world economy,on the other,TCs endangered the economic security and ethnic culture of developing countries. Part four:It analyzed further the relations between TCs and globalization.First,it listed the ambiguous concept of globalization,then analyzed that TCs accelerates the process of globalization.It pointed out mainly that in fact it is America and other westen countries that implement and predominate it's process in globalization.Westen countries make use of the trend of globalization to secure and keep global economic and cultural hegemony.Finally,facing the problem of how should consider the great expansion of Capitalism System,it pointed out typically that the trend of multipolarization will not divert owing to American super power and hengemonic intention.Multipolarization is a necessary trend of future world.
