Trade Freedom Of Agricultural Products And The Research Of China's Agricultural Development

Economic Globalization includes three phases which are Trade Globalization, Production Globalization and Finance Globalization. It is also a process of establishment and standardization of world economy operating system. In the field of farm product trade, Economic Globalization requires the full opening of the farm product trade and canceling all kinds of agricultural protection and unreasonable trade barriers gradually to realize the freedom of agricultural products trade. As one expressive form of Economic Globalization, trade freedom of agricultural products was first put forward to GATT Uruguay Round Negotiation in 1986,which step is the lowest one of the whole economic globalization. The signature of WTO agriculture agreement provides necessary rules and restrictive framework, making the freedom trade of farm products step forward. As the deepening unification extent in world economy, Trade freedom has become an unavoidable tendency. In the field of farm products trade, many countries such as EU,US and Japan have adjusted their agriculture policies to adapt to freedom trend. Therefore, freedom measures are far from canceling the agricultural products trade protection. At present, trade protection is still the mainstay. Thus world products trade is proceeding during the combat between trade protection and economic Globalization. This is the background of china's farm product trade merging into world trade system. This article analyzes both freedom and protection of farm product trade, and also China's agricultural advantages and disadvantages under the background of farm product trade freedom, then gives some advice to improve our farm product trade. The first section, trade freedom of agricultural products under Economic Globalization. This part first analyzes the concept of Economic Globalization and its relation with the Trade freedom of agriculture products, and points that farm product trade freedom is one of the expressive forms of Economic Globalization and its step is the slowest during the course of Economic Globalization. Then it discusses the terms concerning farm product trade under WTO and the influences on china's agriculture and product trade, pointing out that taking part in Economic Globalization and Trade freedom of agriculture products can bring domestic agricultural market many chances and also many challenges at the same time. At last the paper deals with the situation of the world agricultural products trade and three freedom forms of developing trend of the world farm product trade. The adjustments that developed countries executed to suit the trend of Trade freedom of agriculture products resulted in these three tendencies: bilateral, regional and global freedom trade of agricultural products. The three tendencies contradict and unite. The second section, the protective trade of agricultural products under the tendency of freedom. The combat between freedom trade and protective trade comes along with the whole process of international trade development .The freedom tendency of agricultural product trade doesn't mean the coming of agricultural freedom trade period. This section puts emphasises on the protective measures the developed countries carried out on the farm product trade, the resulted problems and the agricultural policy adjustments.
