China is a country famous for its variety of food. A sharp economic rise due to an open door policy, a steady increase in urban and rural income and a mushrooming development in business and tourism have all provided a powerful economic and market base for a constantly flourishing food and beverage industries. Shares in the food and beverage industry reached 606 Billion in 2003. The turnover of the fast-food industry represents one third of the whole industry and has increased in market shares by 200 Billion and founded 10 million chains .The growth of fast-food business is more than 20 percent of the average year turnover. Experts forecast that the fast-food industry will be put on the list of the ten most powerful industries by the first decade of the 21 century, it will be the beginning of the most splendid period. But the Chinese fast-food development still has develop to meet the western fast-food industry Western fast-food rapidly entered the Chinese market and quickly expanded. The growth of the Chinese fast-food industry has not been as successful and it is far from the industry needs of standardization, industrialization. Therefore, it is important to discuss the development of Chinese fast-food industry. This article takes Changsha as an example to discuss the development method of industry. The basis of arguing the Chinese fast-food implication and development period, the development situation of modern Chinese fast-food, the meaning of study, current situation and laciness. The article examines the present situation through data from market research and field research, exploring the existing problems of the modern Chinese fast-food industry and analyzing what factors influence its growth. Finally it offers potential development methods, specifically selecting proper location, adopting franchising mode, establishing correct customer service and managerial methods, adopting the area strategy and the brand strategy. It is the writer hope that the article provides a meaningful idea that will aid in the improvement of both Chinese fast-food development theory and the modern Chinese fast-food industry.
