The Multi-dimensional Perspectives On Marx's Theory Of Social Forms And Its Contemporary Interpretation

The theory of social forms is the important part of the historicalmaterialism which is found by Marx and Engels. The better we knowthe theory of social forms, the better we know the social history.Therefore, Marx's theory of social forms plays a key part in thewhole historical materialism. Main performance is at:First, it made us to know the relations between productive forces,economic base and superstructure.Second, it provided the methodology of the social investigationfor us.Third, it indicated that how to hold the common essence of thetheory of social forms for us.It shows that Marx's theory of social forms is the important partof the historical materialism; it has its own rich and scientific content.Marx regarded it as the productive forces as principle and includedproduction relations, superstructure and other social elements. He putforward the theory of "five social forms"and "three social forms",and explained the progress of social with different ways.The two theories have their own standpoint but they exist at thesame time and supplement with each other. "Five social forms"ismainly with implements of "tool of production——productive forces——means of production". "Three social forms"is mainly withimplements of "the change about the relation of people and nature".At present, our academic circle has different views about thechange of the social forms. They are "five sorts of social forms","three sorts of social forms", "six sorts of social forms", "four sortsof social forms"and so on. They enrich the Marx's social forms insome way, but they have their own limitations. So we must study theMarx's social forms reasonably with combing the Marx's works.Facing all sorts of new changes, we should inherit Marx's traditionsand keep continuing develop Marx's social forms with the newestscience and technology and the newest ways of thinking.The new interpretation of Marx's social forms accompanies withthe changes of the society. So in the third part of this thesis, weemphasize to analyze the huge changes of society and the change ofthe productive factor and intellectual characters. At the same time, weshow that the important of reconsidering the theory of social forms inthe new historical conditions.It is more than 100 years since Marx has passes away. Especiallyin the second half of 20 century, great changes have taken place. Agreat deal of new techniques appeared, including computer technique,new material technique, information technique, space technique etc.The creation and application of these new science and technologymake the modern society is different from the society which isanalyzed by Marx. It is necessary for productive ways, ways of lifeand thinking to change with it. In the fourth part of the thesis, we emphasize todiscuss the change of the perspective, focal points, theoretical fieldsand the content.In the ways of perspective, it is not enough to study the conceptof the "social forms"only from the economical relation or productiverelation. We can replace the perspective of it. We can consider the"the theory of social forms"according to modern social science andtechnology.In the ways of theory's focal points, with the presence ofintellectual economy, the knowledge becomes the decisive factor ofthe various productive factors, talented person play a key roll in thedevelopment of mankind.
