| As China entered WTO, its advantage in manufacturing has been further enhanced. To maintain and buildup this advantage need not only low cost and high quality, but also efficient logistics management. Thus can make the national economy develop well, and the enterprises related progress.In the 1990s, the global business mode has changed a lot with the rapid development of information technology. The core business competition strategy turned out to be the "prompt production", which is on the basis of some traditional but also important strategies such as "low price", "high quality", and "diversity". But the "prompt production" is a precondition. For this, management thoughts and techniques such as MRP and ERP came into existence. For the advancements of ERP, it has become very popular in the industry from the very beginning. Although there are many successful cases, more are not so successful and this leads to a quite low success rate.After made a brief introduction of A Company, this paper analyzed the purchase, stock and distribution of the company with the data of last year (2003). Then found problems of these activities. An EOQ model was set up for optimizing the present stock, under the thoughts of ERP and modern logistics. Also, the modern logistics mode of the company was put forward for the ERP programming. The advancement of the new mode has been testified financially. Some measures to be adopted further were set forth. The conclusions part of this paper concluded this study and made some more discuss. The paper may have some consulting value for the ERP techniques adoption of manufactural corporations as well as modern logistics programming.
