Mao Zedong has a clear knowledge of farmer's bitterness and sufferings as he was brought up in the rural areas .He had an inerasable impression on the mighty force manifested on the mighty force manifested in farmer's struggles and their tempest fighting ways. But the old rural uprisings are mobile fighting without consolidated bases, which is also an important reason that resulted in the ultimate failure.Mao Zedong led the revolutionary armies into the rural areas where the enemy weakly dominated as soon as he suffered a heavy setback in the Autumn-harvest Uprising, and then he immediately opened the rural revolutionary bases, This represents the only but one right road to Chinese revolution. Having summed up the practical experience of the bases set up ,Mao Zedong put forward the thought of "worker-peasant separatist regime by armed force"; on the basis of this thought, he further put forward his peculiar theory by armed force. Afterwards the ideal of setting up revolutionary bases centering upon villages has been deeply rooted in Mao Zedong thoughts. An important development of Mao Zedong thoughts is his thought of bases construction when his revolutionary theory of encircling the cities from the rural areas is formed. Mao Zedong made great efforts to the political power construction, economic construction and cultural education construction in the bases, and gradually formed his political, economical and cultural guiding principle of New Democratic system. The consolidated and forever enlarged revolutionary bases have become a dependable support for Chinese revolution, and finally become a stronghold to defeat the Japanese Imperialism and overthrow the Kuomintang reactionaries.Along with the different phases of Chinese revolution, Mao Zedong bases thought has also experienced a dialectical course from immaturity to maturity to maturity, and played a very important role in guiding Chinese revolution to victory.
