How Should China Define And Implement Business Social Responsibility

Business has played a very important role in the development of human society. But as business entities grew in scale and gained more and more economic and political power, the negative effects on the society brought about by their pursue of profits were showing up. It was under this circumstance that the public started to doubt that the only goal of business is gaining profit for its investors. Thus there emerged discussions and actions on business social responsibility.In this article, the author explored and analyzed the origin and development of the concept of business social responsibility, the driving forces behind business social responsibility movements in other countries, the practice of business social responsibility in other countries, and the problems related to business social responsibility China is now facing, applying comparative and positive methods.
