A Discussion On Diplomatic Strategy Objectives Of China On Peaceful Rise

This dissertation attempts to discuss on the diplomatic strategy objectives of China on peaceful rise on basis of national interests from a visual angle of cognition and to show human subjective idea's influence on international strategy. Firstly, it analyzes the cognition of the diplomatic strategy objectives of China on the background of China's peaceful rise. In more senses China's peaceful rise means a way of peaceful and cooperative development, which represents China's attitude towards and determination of struggling for developing herself in order to achieve national rejuvenation in precondition of avoiding a clash with present world political and economic system. This is a cognitive view of development on basis of current development trend of world politics and global economy. The peaceful rise aims at developing in peace and promoting peace with development as well. That whether cognition can be applied to international political practice and whether objectiveness can be reflected by subjectiveness cannot come true without willness of self striving for development and reference to Others Cognition as well. The objectives of diplomatic strategy executing the national willness display this course of interaction between subjectiveness and objectiveness. Secondly, it discusses on diplomatic strategy's goal cognition for national interests. Objective serves strategy and strategy's ultimate purpose is to realize and protect national interests. Thereupon, aiming at concrete economic interest, security interest, political interest and cultural interest, China's current diplomatic strategy should present scientific objectives on basis of national interests, here equaling national survival and national development. At last, this dissertation reaches the conclusion through analysis and induction that China's diplomatic strategy objectives convey a value choice which is mainly determined by her subjective judgment on and appeal for international environment and her power: On one hand, China must accelerate her internal construction and accomplish the dual tasks as the nation's rise for the national rejuvenation and rebuilding present international environment for great power's responsibility by active interaction with globalization process; on the other hand, China needs to prepare for hegemony's containing China's rise. It can be concluded that China's peaceful rise is a course of interaction between subjectiveness and objectiveness. China should constantly revise her strategy of peaceful rise in accordance with globalization's continuous developing in depth and the diplomatic ideas embodied by China's diplomatic strategy objectives also need to ascend to a stage of global political study.
