Study On The Problem Of Women's Status And Function In The Rural Economic Increasing In Gansu

Nowadays, under the situation of nonagricultural transfer and spillover of rural male labor force, it is more and more important for women in Gansu to play the role of agricultural production and rural community development. The women in poor families are not only the main agricultural laborers, but also the leadings of maintaining the family's living and subsistence, supervising the children's upbringing and receiving education, preventing a disease and keeping the family's sanitary and healthy. On the basis of this special status and function of women, this paper analyzes the important status and function of rural women in economic increasing while a great deal of rural virile labor force spill over from Gansu province. Then pointed out that women's status and function directly affects the solving of farmer, agriculture and country problem effectively and developing the national economy and society harmoniously as well as the speed and quality of the rural economic increasing in Gansu. Therefore, in order to achieve the increasing of rural economy of Gansu, it is important to take the women as the first role, to improve their status and function and accomplish the benign interactivity between the economic increasing and improvement of rural women's status and function, as it is not only the key of accelerating the modernization of country and agriculture, but also the sticking point of breaking through the rattrap of Gansu's agriculture and the developing of rural society.While demonstrating the important status and function of rural women in economic increasing, this paper also pointed out the factors which limit the rural women's exertion to economic increasing in Gansu, such as the restriction of tradition and culture, the confine of slow economy, the system, the policy etc. According the above, come to the conclusion:1. The tendency of feminization in agriculture has appeared. Women have become the main labor force in the rural area of Gansu. They are one of the main force developing the country, especially in the poor area's agriculture. They have played an important role during the economic increasing of the rural area in Gansu.2. The working structure and level of women in Gansu is still low, most of which are planting, fostering and processing. There are little the third industry and extraversion economy. Their working skill is still weak, which need to be improved during taking part in the economic activities.3. Rural women's working time is as more as men. However, the contrast of working dividing in the family is obvious. Women spend more time in doing housework.
