Oil, which has double implications of economy and politics, is not only a kind of precious natural resource, but also a kind of commodity of strategic significance. Nowadays, China faces sever international situation: the oil price remains at a high price and the extensive competition of oil pursuit of big countries. In the fourth middle-east war, the Arab oil-producing states implemented the oil weapons in order to pressure the United States and its allies to force Israel to withdraw from Arab territories seized in 1967. The effects of oil weapon triggered oil crisis, which shocked the whole world and became one of the most important historical events in the twentieth century. Many useful experiences will be derived through the study of this event. This paper tries to explore the features and laws of the influence of oil on the international relations through analyzing the course, behavior and its impact of oil weapons on the foreign policies of related countries.
