Research On The Legal Liability System Of MTO In International Multi-modal Transport

Multi-model transportation is a new way to carry the goods from door to door. For the long distance of transportation, it concerns more complicated legal relationship compared with one-model transportation. The paper writes from the beginning of the current three international rules: ICC Uniform Rules for a Combined Transport Document, 1980UN Convention on International Multimodal Transport of Goods,1992 United Nation Conference of Trade and Development/ ICC Rules, use the comparative and deductive method to analysis liability system of the Multi-model Transportation Operator, in order to make try to propose some suggestion for legislative of the liability system of the international rules and our country rules.Part I---On the basis of analyzing the definition of Multi-modal Transportation in current international rules, the author compared the definition with some pairs of similar concept and tried to clarify the concept of Multi-modal Transportation, and then proposed some basic factors which consists the concept.
