The relationship between patients and doctors is very important for both sides. An important aspect of this relationship is how to distribute the rights and the obligations. This thesis discussed the rights and the obligations in the protection and usage of the patient's privacy in diagnosis and cure.As a doctor having worked in hospital for 8 years, I can understand the feelings when a doctor was blamed by patients on privacy. As a teacher having worked in a teaching hospital for 8 years, I can understand the feelings when there is no patient who would like to help finishing clinical teaching. So I chose the topic "The protection range of patient's privacy in diagnosis and cure " as my thesis, and I want to speak in the favor of doctors.During writing this thesis, I calmed down, thought over the problems in this topic and found that, in fact ,the discussion about patient's privacy infected the different understanding on the characters of the relationship between doctors and patients, and in the end it was the understanding of the social role of the hospitals.The policy of impulsing hospital into market made the hospitals have some characters of subject of market.
