A Study Of The Realistic Geo-strategy Of China

Establishing the geo-strategy of China is always an important issue of the international politics. China hopes to rise up be a world power in this century. However, The post-cold war international circumstance with which China is faced is more complicated than ever .Whether China will rise sharply to be a great power or not depends on whether China can establish and carry out right geo-strategy or not.Firstly, this thesis looked back at the basic theories of strategy , introduced the strategy thoughts of the west country and China, put forward the development trend of the geo-strategy at present at first time. Then, from the geo-strategic view, this thesis discussed the geographical circumstance and factors which influence China's geo-strategy and analyze the important external circumstances that affect China's safety which include the periphery and the region. This thesis tried to observe and analyze the realistic geo-strategies against China of the surrounding big countries and organizations.Finally, in order to create a geographical circumstance which is good for China's peaceful development and rising, this thesis put forward its own opinions on the whole speculation of the realistic geo-strategy of China. That is:keeping the north steady, getting on well with the south, entering the west, defending the east; peacefully coexistence with the periphery, make stronger the power on land; developing the sea power, breaking the southeast; making our country strong inside our own country, fighting against American and Japan outside our country. And, at the same time,it put forward the principle conceive and concrete measure suggestions,that is:carrying out self-defense all over the world, to guarantee the strategic passage safe, to develop the sea power strongly, to create a beneficial environment of resolving Taiwan problem actively, etc. Some other questions, which need more attention and research in the next step, are raised in the part of the summary and outlook.
