The international marine transportation industry can be traced from ancient time century 9 B.C. to the rapid development after World War II; the period had created many diverse complex practices, legal conflicts, and legal vacuums. This article classified and summarized various classic international maritime fraud behaviors. It studied the method of each kind of fraud behavior through the analysis of concrete cases. It also explains the hazardous consequences of those behaviors from a legal theory point of view, thus builds the foundation for researching corresponding legal countermeasure.The author works in an international marine transportation company, is engaged in the international marine transportation business for many years. The business scope involves most countries in the world. She had experienced and witnessed many occurrences of international marine transportations fraud, which leaded to significant economic loss to the litigant. At the same time, China continues its rapid economic development. It enormously promoted the development of marine transportation industry in China, and China already became the world's number one country in sea transportation. China had the largest share of the total volume of marine trade in the world in 2005. At the same time, the number of international marine transportation frauds also has sharp growth. It has become an important task for the international maritime legal professional, to research international marine transportation fraud and to set up the corresponding countermeasure.The author utilized the case analysis method in the article, unified the jurisprudence and the concrete research.
