Basic System Study On International Maritime Treaty

With the international shipping industry and shipping industry and technological progress, as well as for the shipping industry emerging new issues and new trends in the International Maritime Organization has developed a series of norms and constraints of the shipping activities of international treaties. Today, the International Maritime Organization has penetrated into all aspects of the international shipping industry, has formed a set of international legal regime to ensure safe navigation and protection of the marine environment through these treaties, international shipping and international maritime treaties have been inseparable.This paper studies International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, by the 1978 protocol fixed’s International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships,1973, International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watehkeeping for Seafarers,1978, Maritime Labor Convention,2006, these four treaties are maritime community is collectively referred to as the four pillars of the international maritime treaties. Ship and crew, the four pillars of international maritime treaties, have made detailed provisions on maritime safety, marine environment, and crew protection of the rights. Four treaties, including the provisions of the substantive and technical terms, the direction of this study is the entity part of the treaty, through the analysis of treaty provisions specific in order to explore its theory of the Law of Treaties.China agreed to apply these four treaties, not only to protect the legitimate rights and interests of our ship and crew, and more conducive to complement and guide the formulation and development of our domestic legislation. China is now in a country from sea to sea power shift in the process, to increase the four treaty research efforts, the correct understanding of the treaty purposes and content, pay close attention to the change of the treaty, and realize the treaty in our country fully, timely, effective to perform, can guarantee the shipping industry in healthy and rapid development at the same time, improve our country’s international position and influence, and achieve the full exercise of the right of countries in our country, the future of international maritime treaty is more beneficial to China.
