Mainly based on the Article 81 of EC Treaty and relative Regulations and Directives,and by the reference to a large number of works,papers and cases,this paper discusses and analyzes the basic principles of the Article 81 of EC Treaty and several important agreements respectively,such as horizontal agreement,vertical agreement and agreement about intellectual property.Meanwhile, the relations and conflicts between "three pillars"of EC Competition:regulations on restrictive agreenment,prohibition on the abuse of priority and limitations on the mergers of undertakings are elaborated so as to explain their inherent relationships.This paper covers eight parts:The first part briefly introduces the development,origin,framework and application of the EU Competition Law,as well as its institution and the relationship with other countries' competition law in EU.The second part relieves the intrinsic characteristic of the article 81 of EU Treaty by analyzing its logical framework,basic principle, structure of legislation and conditions.The third part to the fifth part mainly studies three important agreements: Horizontal agreement, Vertical agreement and agreement about intellectual property.In the sixth part, the exemption system is studied, including individual exemption, block exemption and non-exemption.The seventh part analyzes the relationship and conflict between "three pillars" and gives its resolutions.It is the content in the ninth part that the legislation on competition law in our country is introduced and personal points are put forth.At last,the conclusion is given.
