The problem of the South China Sea mostly points to the surrounding countries' divarications and conflicts on both the sovereignty of the islands or reefs and the compartmentalization of the South China Sea. In the Asia and pacific region, the area of the South China Sea is recognized to be one of the districts where the conflicts could break out most potentially. It's also one of the factors that could affect the tranquilization and the development of the area of the region. Recently, this problem is being internationalized gradually: the sea area is being divided and its resources are being ransacked. For China, the tendency of this problem is in the adverse direction. Our country's legitimate rights and interests have been destructed in the South China Sea. Our country's national security interests have been harmed also. The article analyzes the important effects by this problem on China's security interest in four aspects: Firstly, the conflict of the sovereignty of the South China Sea may challenge the territory security interests of China; Secondly, it's also one of the factors that will affect our outside security environment; Thirdly, it is critical to our country's economic security interest; Finally, it also has important geography strategy value to the safety of our country's south area.
