Energy is a vital factor to develop a modern industrial society and affect the world economy and a country's security. As we know, at the beginning of constructing new China, China faced the problem of energy resource security. But because of the foundation of the special Sino-Soviet relationship and Chinese slow development of economy, the problem didn't turn out. However, after carrying out the policy of reform and opening to outside, China needs more and more energy with economic development, while the domestic energy can't meet the needs. It's a no-doubt fact that massively importing crude oil has become a way to protect Chinese energy security. As a country that entering to those who massively import crude oil, in order to get stable oversea offer, it's the premise foe China to deal well the relations with those countries who produce oil and who consume oil and the countries that must go through when China transports oil. However, because the role of oil factor gradually becomes more important in the international relations, even becomes an alienating tool of modern international relations. The thesis analyzing the uncertainty of Chinese energy import strategies by taking the Sino-Russian relationship as example and illustrates how to choose the exact strategies to protect Chinese energy security.There are three parts in the thesis except the introduction and the conclusion.In the introduction, the author illustrates the significance of researching this problem, the present researching condition in this domain and also defines some key concept that are related to the thesis.Part I: mainly expounds the present condition of Chinese energy security and the existing problems. Firstly reviews the history of Chinese energy security and then expounds the problems from seven aspects: 1.The circulation of Chinese energy consumption is not reasonable, which affects Chinese energy security. 2. Chinese energy needs especially the oil need increases too fast in China; the contradiction of supplication and needs is serious. 3. The import is too centralized; the means of sea transportation is unchangeable. 4. The situation of the main resource regions of importing oil is not stable and the competition is intense. 5. Chinese dependence to import oil is increasing while the military diplomatic influence to the oil resource regions is weak. 6. China lacks the system to cope with the unstable price of the international crude oil. 7. China hasn't founded the complete strategic oil reserves.Part II: analyze the uncertainty of Chinese energy import strategies by taking the Sino-Russian relationship as example.
