The emergence of Internet indicates a new era of the combination of information and communication technologies. Furthermore, the blooming of Internet enables the development of Internet Games. The flourishing of Internet Games impacts people's especially youngster's approaches of studying and thinking tremendously, followed by series of social problems. The challenge every ideology and political educator faces in this new era of Internet Games is how to maintain and move forward the ideology and political education in the new century.Writer of this article advocates that rather than seeing Internet Games raising social problems, they can be viewed as new vehicles serving for the ideology and political education. To achieve this goal, a critical evaluation of Internet Games is needed. Furthermore, efforts should be made to develop Internet Games specifically for ideology and political education with the purpose of meeting the requirements and challenges of such education in the new time.The main idea of this article: In the context that Internet Games influence youngster's views of life and the world, abide by the guidelines of ideology and political education, apply the available research findings on ideology and political education vehicles, this article contributes to the education of ideology and political education in the following domains: analyze the real-life impact of Internet Games as vehicles on youngster's ideology; verify the possibility of necessity of utilizing Internet Games as vehicles for ideology and political education; propose approaches to develop related Internet Games for ideology and political education.The outline of this article: Part 1: Introduce the meaning of Internet Games and their development in China. Part 2: Verify the necessity of the existence and development of Internet Games; Part 3: anchoring the educational function of Internet Games and their negative impact on youngsters, state the impact of Internet Games on youngster growth; Part 4: From the characteristics of Internet Games and the current supportive contexts, validate the plausibility and necessity of developing Internet Games for ideology and political education; Part 5: Propose possible approaches to develop ideology and political education Internet Games.
