A Comparative Research On Rural Social Stratification Of The Loess Plateau Middle Gansu Region

Social stratification is longitudinal study to social structure, also important premise to analysis of social relationship and social action. Modern social transformation of the countryside is closed related with the entire modernization construction of china, meanwhile bottleneck of entire social transformation. In this paper, I compare the result of sampling survey with the stratification of the whole countryside in 90s by the approach of investigation and comparation, aiming at backwards of the Loess Plateau Middle Gansu Region during transformation; draw the conclusion that social stratification of the Loess Plateau Regional countryside has been activated, but in a state of creeping. The proportion of peasants in strong position is low, majority of them is in interior position, and peasants lack motive force. The rate of population floating is low because of lackage of effective mechanism and acquired conditions; Social structure is displayed plate-rization, imperfect, and tearing characteristic, elasticity is insufficient; countryside market is less competitive, demanding transformation of market function to achieve the completeness of structure. Whereas modernized social consciousness of the countryside is obvious, the quest of marketazation is strong occupational alternation is demanding, these factors including culture consumption are dynamic power.
