| Political legitimacy is a basic question and a core concept of the politics; it is the logistic result of developing political power. How to make people trust the political domination? Every modern country is faced with the question, because it is the prerequisite of political domination. Not only every political domination need country force but also need the people accepting. The support of people is the basic content of political legitimacy and the foundation and prerequisite for anyone political system to safeguard its stabilization and development. It must study and consolidate its legality for anyone political system to safeguard its presence and development.Legitimacy is concerned as an object by modern parties, and building legitimacy foundation is ultimately route, when the ruling party is maintaining its position. The ruling party gained the legitimacy of governance, but it does not mean that it can permanently stay in power henceforth. The legitimacy of governance is not static, but is in a dynamic process of development. From 1978, Chinese reform has opened up, and Chinese society has come in a complete transform period. Social transform period is a period of rapid social change. Especially since the 1990s, with a series of change of the development of the market economy, social structure, social operating mechanism and social values, the problems of the social transformation have a direct impact on Chinese success of socialism cause ,the future and destiny of the Chinese nation, the survival of the party and the national security, So deep thinking and research legitimacy is the demand and challenge of the times, and furthermore , it is the people's expectation.Based on political legitimacy theories, the paper is intended to make a comprehensive study on political legitimacy of China. With a review of relative theories and an analysis of current situation of China, some advises were suggested to maintain and expand the political legitimacy of China at the present age.
