With flourishing high tech, globalization and network timeapproaches after 1990s. The new decade features politicalmulti-polarization, economic globalization and cultural diversity. Thedevelopment of the society has brought about many chances andchallenges for the values education of the cadets at the CAPF colleges. Itis of vital significance to analyze the chances and challenges so as tostrengthen the values education of the cadets. Based on a questionnaire,the paper focuses on the hope and difficulty in the field, and then proceedsto discuss the corresponding countermeasures and put forward someproposals.The paper can be divided into three parts.In the first part the paper elaborates the values and the valueseducation, along with an analysis of the characteristics of the valueseducation of cadets at the CAPF colleges, i.e., class nature, radiation,compulsion and practicality.In the second part the paper discusses the challenges which are causedby enhancement of the main body consciousness of cadets, the technicaldevelopment and the changes of the condition of the values education ofcadets at the CAPF colleges.Based on aforementioned discussions, the paper suggests in the thirdpart that the current values education of the cadets at CAPF collegesshould be preconditioned by the revolution of ideas held by the educators,be based on the transformation of the contents of the values education,center around the improvement of teaching methods, and focus on the practical outcomes of the values education.
