This paper is a psychological attempt into the occupational stress source of employees in Japanese and Euro-American enterprises by means of literature research, interview and questionnaire. It is based on item analysis, explorative factor analysis, confirmative factor analysis and also differentiation analysis with the help of principles of psychometrics and statistics. The researcher designed a questionnaire on occupational stress source of foreign enterprise employees, on which was based a comparison between the two major enterprises and also an analysis by way of population statistics. The findings are as follows. The questionnaire on occupational stress source of foreign enterprise employees is composed of 7 dimensions, including over-workload, work change, organizational and professional development, foreign language and payment, work demand, interpersonal relation, and ambiguous professional role. It works up to the requirements of psychometrics and hence has satisfactory validity and reliability. There is a significant difference between Japanese and Euro-American employees in four factors, including over-workload, work demand, interpersonal relation, and ambiguous professional role, as is shown in the questionnaire. Generally speaking, the 3 main reasons for workload pressure sources in foreign enterprises are over-workload, work change, organizational and professional development. There is a significant difference in the various levels of occupational stress source and also the variants of population statistics for foreign employees. For example, there exists a difference in gender because males are under higher pressure than females. Married employees have more points than single ones in over-workload work change, and work requirement. Employees with 3 to 5 years' experience have more points than others in over-workload, foreign language and work payment requirement. Grass-root employees have many more points than management employees in foreign language and payment, and organizational and professional development. Sale-related employees have more points than others in work demand and work change. Employees with master degree or above are significantly under much higher pressure than others in over-workload, interpersonal relation and work change.
