In the early 21st century, with the advance of the regionalization and globalization, the East-Asia is becoming one of the most dynamic economic regions. The success in economy and society constructions leads some countries and areas to the modernization. The Asian Financial Crisis in 1997s not only did not whittle down the East-Asia's power, but also strengthened the life force, which made the East-Asia recovered and developed rapidly. It's the historical chance for the East Asia in the early 21st century. The research on the East-Asia region mainly focuses on the regional order. From the layer of regional order, based on the status in East-Asia, this thesis explores the rational model of the future East-Asian regional order. The thesis composes of three parts. The first part discusses the chance and challenge during the constructing process of regional order. After the Cold War, the international situation is continuing to undergo complex and profound changes and world multipolarization and economic globalization are making tortuous progress. The East Asian nations have made rapid progress in all-around fields and the leaders have begun to readjust the diplomatic strategy and regional policy, to conduct the dialogues and consultations. Especially, in the early 21st century, the trend of globalization greatly changes the international situation. It's time for the East Asia to rebuild the regional order. But the peace has not played the leading role in this region because of the influence of the Cold War. Many problems, just as Security Dilemma, the same economic structure, bilateral military alliance, etc., restrict to forming the new regional order. The new East Asian regional order is faced with many challenges.Based on the analysis about the current situation of the East Asian region, the thesis proposes the aim of the new regional order in the second part. From the theory of international order, the thesis explains a viewpoint: constructing the co-operational regional order is the unique model. Furthermore, guided by the principles of regionalism, multilateralism and the new concept of security, the thesis clarifies the new East Asian regional order in details in terms of security, economy and culture. The third part is divided into three points. As the analysis of strategic choice, the first point defines the China's position and role in the East Asia. The East Asia area is the external support for China to develop the domestic economy and remain stable political situation. Simultaneously, with the promotion of China's status, China should play an important role of"responsible great power", which is the long-term East Asian strategy. In the second point, the main body of the thesis is the approaches and measures to realize the new East-Asian regional order. The writer explains four effective routes: building the multilateral regime, supporting the dominant role of ASEAN, dealing well with America's existence in Asia and advocating regional identity. The third point is the practical countermeasures to the difficult problems during the process of rebuilding regional order. The thesis makes such conclusion: based on the pursuit of common interest of all the nations, by applying the certain approaches and the effective national strategy, the harmonious regional order, which consists of mutual trusting and coexistent politics, mutual beneficial and co-wined economy, mutual helpful and co-relieved security, and mutual referred and co-progressed culture, must be built in the 21st century.
