From The Mighty Army To The Civilized Army

In a certain sense, the history of Chinese People's Liberation Army's development and strengthen is just the military culture's development and strengthen. In its 80 years of development history, this army has always got the sincere support of the people. From one victory to another, they have created distinctive characteristics of the military culture. The military culture of Chinese People's Liberation Army is the inheritance of outstanding Chinese traditional culture, especially the inheritance of revolutionary cultural traditions which created by the Chinese Communist Party. The construction of the military culture is the main content of construction of spiritual civilization, not also played an important role to the construction of army's spiritual civilization, but also to the whole society. Outstanding military culture is the reflection of the troops' mental outlook; not only the troops but also the community can feel the unique infectious, cohesion and shocking transmissioned by military culture.This paper is divided into six parts. First part mainly introduce the writing background, the current research status of military culture, the history and current development characteristics of military culture .Second part analyzes the main content and composition of the military culture. Third part mainly introduces the function of military culture. Fourth part analyzes the relationship between construction of military culture and both officers and soldiers. The fifth part forecasts the development trends of the military culture in the next period. Last part summarizes the challenges which military culture faced in the process of development.Faced with the new situation in the new era, we should study, explore, and solve the problems from a new culture perspective and with the spirit of innovation. Therefore, the military culture will continually inherits the fine tradition, and at the same time we will enter a totally new period of innovation in the aspects of content, form, methods. Entering the new historical period, as the bellwether of the construction of healthy values and moral conduct, the Army has more need to improve and strength the level of the military culture construction. Not only to be a mighty force with strong battle effectiveness, but also need to be a civilized force cleaves to its responsibility.
