Since the end of the World War II, significant changes have taken place in the contemporary capitalism. The capitalist world took advantage of the new scientific and technological revolution as well as the accelerated globalization of world economy. Through a series of adjustment, reform and improvement, capitalism has presented a new look, for instance, the speeding development of productivity, the optimization of industrial structure, the increasingly stable social stratification, a more effective state macro-control, the reinforcing international conciliation and coordination, etc.. Thus, a long-term stable and prosperous phase for the development of capitalism has been formed. In the world today, the impact of the predominant capitalism on socialism is becoming more and more profound. Surrounded by capitalism, the traditional model of socialism represented by the Soviet Union refused changes and remained stagnant, and finally led to breaking-up. Admittedly, socialism developed low-key after the Cold War. However, the socialism with Chinese characteristics began to flourish and represented a new outlook. Thus, in this new era, how do we understand such a new set of adjustment, reform and improvement in the capitalist world? What's its relationship with the decline of the traditional socialism? And how should the developing socialism respond to the new actions of capitalism? Currently, the methodologies used to analyze the new changes of capitalism and the development of socialism are basically theoretical elaboration or evidence seeking in the history, while this paper attempts to analyze this subject in a brand new way, that is, to examine the development of the relationship between socialism and capitalism in the perspective of the Game Theory. We analyze the game equilibrium of these two confronting social systems and the cause of the failure of the traditional socialism with the model of "Prisoner's Dilemma", explore how the contemporary socialism could face up to the challenges of capitalism with the models of "Pigs' Payoffs" and "Chicken Game", and study the cooperation and contradiction in the future relationship between the two systems with the model of "Stag Hunt Game". On the basis of the Game Theory, we have reached the following conclusion: we must acknowledge the new changes of socialism and its leading position in science, technology and economy, instead of observing and analyzing capitalism with prejudice as we did in the past; We should recognize the fact that socialism and capitalism are going to coexist for a long period of time, and nowadays, with the quickening globalization of world economy and the internationalization of social production, no nation is able to develop and prosper in isolation. Although there are some inevitable contradictories between these two social systems, the more important thing is their mutual learning and long-term cooperation in the history. Therefore, with the understanding of the two social systems' long-standing development in history, we make a dynamic analysis with the Game Theory, i.e., reaching a Nash equilibrium solution with the model of the "Stag Hunt Game". With an in-depth study of this equilibrium solution, we have concluded that socialism must develop itself with the current opportunity and, in this increasingly globalizing world, seek the optimization of the utility of socialism by promoting cooperation with capitalism.
