The main content of the dissertation is the analysis on the status of criminalvictims in the criminal proceeding activities and the litigation rights owned herefrom,and some discussion and consideration on the relief and salvation of the rights andinterests of criminal victims, which tries to look through the status of criminal victimsin current China by expatiating the evolution of the historical status of victims andanalysing the definition and role of victims. Meanwhile, the dissertation will comparethe attitudes of some other countries in the world on criminal victims, the relevanttheoretical research and specific practice to extract beneficial experience and lessons,and then return to our country to consider: how to position victims in China's legalculture and judicatory tradition and offer the relevant litigation rights? How to relieveand salve the legal rights and interests of criminal victims?
