A Study On Cultivation Of Citizens' Awearness Of Constitution During The Building Of Aconstitutionalised Country In China

Constitution awareness is a general concept including people's cognition,evaluation, volition and other awareness forms towards constitutional phenomenon.The constitution awareness of civics is mainly represented as the awareness ofconstitutional supremeness, civics rights, and constitutional supervision. However,nowadays there is a shortage of above consciousnesses in Chinese civics, which isan important character of present civics' constitutional awareness. There areseveral reasons for the weakness of civics' constitutional awareness. The long-terminfluence of feudal absolutism is the main reason and the others include the lag ofcommodity economy and market economy, the purpose of constitutionality inmodern industrialism, the act of violation in the implement of constitution and etc.There are several ways to foster and improve the constitutional awareness of civics,which can be summarized as follows: devoting major efforts to developingcommodity economy and market economy, implementing institutional creation andpractical training in constructing constitutionalism, and building up the authority ofconstitution through effective education on constitutional conviction.This thesis, based on investigating to current conditions of civics' constitutionalawareness and consulting the relevant information, integrates related researchfruits and analyzes theoretically on fostering and developing civics' constitutionalawareness.
