The Route Taken For The Construction Of China's Political Civilization Characteristic Of The Time

Currently building political civilization in socialist China has been clearly reached a consensus. As was made clear in the 16th Assembly of the National Congress, among the chief purposes in building a nationwide"Better-off"society were the development of a socialist political democracy, and the construction of a socialist political civilization. The campaign was launched on the basis of the past experience gained through years of socialist construction drive, experience especially got since the implementation of the opening policies; it highlights our country's strategic thinking in the building of our national politics. The building of a nationwide"Better-off"society is characteristic of China in its development of socialist economy, politics and culture, and is identifiable with the quicker modernization drive being rigorously practiced; it will include not only material and spiritual wealth, but political civilization as well. Only a harmonious and coordinated existence between the above three drives can produce a society more developed in economy, more sound in democracy, more sophisticated in science and technology, more prosperous in culture, and more harmonious and better-off in social life.In today's world of fast economic globalization, unstoppable political polarization, and fantastic development of science and technology, many nations are competing hard, in which context, China's emphasis upon a political civilization serves not only the purpose of building a political power, but also that of uplifting its comprehensive national powers. And this essay discusses the basic concepts of the features, the inner structures typical of political civilization, from different perspectives, and in a comparative manner. It also goes a little deeper into characteristics of China's political civilization under the large context, and as an answer, the corresponding route taken for it are suggested.
