The military officers working in the basic unit are military basis of component. The level of officers'physical and mental health is not only related to the individual progress, but also related to the long-term development of military regularization. In the peace period, the greatest impact on the physical and mental health of officers is the day-to-day work stress. In this study, the sample included 748 officers working in the basic unit. We used documents, interviews, questionnaire and other research methods to explore the relationship between work stress, locus of control and anxiety and got the following conclusions:1.The military officers'work stress contains four aspects that are interpersonal relationship, group cohesion, career development and work features. The military officers'work stress questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and it can reflect widespread work stress situation among the officers working in the basic unit.2.In different levels of the two demographic variables, job seniority and educational degree, work stress and locus of control of individual are diverse.3.External locus of control, especially tendency of powerful others, is a powerful predictor of work stress. The individual who have stronger tendency of external locus of control experience lighter stress; the individual who have stronger tendency of internal locus of control experience heavier stress.4.Work stress plays an important impact on both state anxiety and trait anxiety, but the influences of four factors are different. Group cohesion is the main factor in affecting anxiety.
