Labor movement is a series of organized activities that workers organize and carry out in order to defend and strive for their own interests, which may be in the scope of the area within a country, may also be cross-border. The purpose is clear and specific, the participants at least have the same or similar will and they struggle for a common goal. Since the 1970s, the labor movement of western developed countries is becoming calm and then go to the tide, shows a moderate trend on the whole, it is a very important trend that deserving seriously attention and study. Scientific analysis of the reason why the western developed countries' labor movement is in a low tide, the change factors of class conflict in the capitalist countries, and the evolution and future development trend of western developed countries' labor movement should be studied. It's a great significance to promote the world socialist movement going toward the revitalization. Their theory exploration has an important value for restoring and improving the masses' belief and pursuit of socialist, also for developing and innovating the world socialist theory. Their practice struggle directly contains and weakens the right-wing forces and the rule of the bourgeoisie in the heart of capitalism, to a certain extent, protects the interests of working people.In this paper, the labor movement of Western European countries since the 1970s has been taken as the main representative of the labor movement, the theoretical analysis of the evolution and future development trend of Western developed countries' labor movement has also been discussed. Firstly, an historical evolution of western developed countries' labor movement is inspected. On the basis that a summary of the concept of labor movement and its theoretical form in the various periods has been given, the labor movement of Western Europe is taken as a major example in order to conclude the four new characteristics of labor movement at this stage. Secondly, six factors has been discussed in deep including political party policies and institutional changes, new changes in social structure, economic globalization, information revolution, social mediation and drastic changes in Soviet Union and Eastern Europe which has a great influence on the evolution of western labor movement. The future development trend of western developed countries' labor movement is tried to judge and project. Finally, both the evolution and trend of contemporary western developed countries' labor movement are discussed in deep which is used to conclude the two effects toward the world socialist movement.
