The government remolding theory came about in the United States in the eighties, i. e. at a time when there were both financial crisis and people's confidence crisis in regard to the government. The goal of the theory is to re-orient the government to the need of a global economy, technical renovations and social progress. The new government is supposed to cut down the deficit by spending less money, while at the same time function more effectively. It should also acquire higher adaptability to new challenges.Besides the introduction, the paper includes four parts. The first part put forward the background of the government remolding theory, i.e. the reasons that bring the government remolding theory. At the base of a lot of literature research, the author thinks that the reasons include globalization and information, the political and economic situation and government. The second part the theory base of American government remolding theory points that the reform of American government have profound theory base. This is effected by the theory of new public administration, macro-economics and micro-economics, and father. The third part discusses the government remolding theory from theory, practice and trend. The forth part analyzes the apocalypse of government remolding theory for our country. The author points that we must adjust the relationships between government and market, government and enterprise, government and society, centrality and locality, government and civil.
