Research On Environmental Label System In International Trade

Environmental label system, a new trade-related environmental measures, has effected the international trade more and more and aroused widespread concern in the international community. This paper studied the environmental label system comprehensively. Firstly, this paper cleared the definition of environment label and environmental label system, analyzed characteristics of the environment label and the effects on international trade brought by environmental symbol system. Secondly, this paper introduced the circumstance of the international environmental label system and its development impetus and its development trend. Thirdly, the paper investigated Germany, Japan, Canada, the United States, South Korea and other representative nationals' environmental symbol system, and try to compare the similarities and differences between them. Finally, on the basis of analyzed the actuality of Chinese environmental symbol system, this paper gave proposals on how to improve Chinese environmental symbol system.This paper focuses on the basic view is that States should adopt an objective attitude to understand the environmental label system, through its own efforts and the strengthening of international cooperation, make environmental symbol system do not constitute unnecessary barriers to international trade. At the same time, China should further improve own environmental symbol system to cope with the challenges likely to be encounteredThe specific of this paper is to explore the development impetus and its development trend of international environmental label system, comprehensively investigated Germany, Japan, Canada, the United States, South Korea and other representative nationals' environmental symbol system, and try to compare the similarities and differences between them.This paper mainly used qualitative analysis, historical analysis and comparison analysis method, cleared the definition and nature of environment label, studied the birth and development trend of environmental label system, compared the representative nationals' environmental symbol system.
