Research On The Strategy Of Taiwan Issue Based On Conflict Economics

In recent years, the DPP represented by Chen Shui-bian often use "Taiwan independence" to attract attention, to seek political interests. And china changed its target from "promoting reunification" to "oppose independence" gradually. Some scholars in American argued that, mainland China has altered the Taiwan strategy from "threaten" to "deterrence". Then, How to prevent war of the cross-strait becomes the most important issue. And the economics which is based on "Rational-economic man" assumption can provide a unique perspective on the strategy of Taiwan issue.From the economics perspective, Taiwan issue is the interest problem. How to select correct strategy (including the allocation of resources, strategies, etc) for mainland is the main target of our research. In this article, we briefly discussed the characteristics of Taiwan issue in the conflict economics perspective. Then, we describe the conflict theory in mathematical form, including the root of conflict, the technology of conflict, the allocation of resources and the strategy of conflict. Next, we research the logic of peace in the Taiwan Strait, "oppose independence and promoting reunification" under the shadow of the future and the mainland's Taiwan strategy according to principal-agent theory. Finally, we analyze the logic hidden behind the Anti-Secession Law, and found that credibility is a key to the implementation of strategy, and give three proposals on how to improve the credibility.
