The Origin Of The Taiwan Issue Is The Evolution Of U.s. Policy On The Taiwan Issue

Taiwan Issue has been left unsolved since the Chinese Civil War, with America's interference. It became a critical one that decides China's interest and also a focus of Sino-America relationship.After New China was established, America proposed "Suspended Position" theory to support Taiwan government and hinder the China's unity for its cold war aim. In the 1970s,America began to give up the hostile attitude and the relation between China and the U.S.A got normalized.But after the diplomatic relation was formally established between China and the U.S.A, the U.S.A made out the Taiwan Relations Act to deal with the relations to Taiwan after they broke off diplomatic relations. The Act made great influence on the relationship among China, Ameria and Taiwan.From the normalization of Sino-American relationship and the Act,we can draw the conclusion that the formulation of the foreign policy was suited to the American strategic safty, to the balance of the different political groups, to the need of ideology and mostly to the need of the national interest.After the cold war, the America's Senators stick to cold war thought and consider China as a new THEAT making further interference in China's internal affairs, which is a big obstacle on the way of solving Taiwan Issue.To solve the Taiwan issue ,the most important thing for China is to increase the comprehensive strength rapidly and develop the relationship with the U.S.A and other countries to solve the issue under the rule of One Country , Two System,. On the other hand ,China should prepare for the war with the U.S.A.We are expecting the day's coming that the people between the Taiwan Strait can share the same dignity and honor of the great China.
