Yasuhiro Nakasone is a politician who has distinct political stand and unique concept in Japanese modern political history. He successively held the posts of cabinet Prime Minister three terms and also he is the representative of Japan's Neo-conservatism and Neo-nationalism thought. In the early 1980s, Yasuhiro Nakasone brought forward Japan's"political power"strategy, as the overall strategy of Japan's national development. As a beginning, seeking political power has become a political target for modern Japanese politicians.Words are the voice of the mind. People's thoughts and ideas are often represented by languages and political comments, while political actions are objective measurement to verify one's thoughts and ideas. Therefore, this paper deeply discusses and studies on Yasuhiro Nakasone's"political power"thought from three aspects: the formation of his political thought, the embodiment of policy and the influences upon other politicians. Focusing on Yasuhiro Nakasone's political thoughts, political arguments, all reforms he carried out and his foreign strategy, the author objectively and comprehensively analyzes the reason he promoted his policy in the period of Nakasone cabinet and the influences from his"political power"strategy.Nakasone's political thought is a complicated mixture which is deeply impacted by Conservatism, Nationalism ,Neo-conservatism, forming a japanesque. Neo-conservatism and Neo-nationalism. So the first chapter of this paper mainly analyzes the main sources of Nakasone's"political power"core. Chapter Two discusses the international and domestic background of Nakasone's"political power"strategy and how Nakasone used the advantageous parts of all kinds of social thoughts to serve for his"political power"strategy. This part also mentions his practices in politics, economy, culture, diplomacy and military affairs, the restrictive factors to which he realized his"political power"thoughts. Since there are so many similarities between Nakasone's"political power"strategy and"Big Japanism"before world war II, Chapter Three focuses on the similarities and differences between them and other Japanese politicians'inheritance and development of Nakasone's"political power"strategy. The change of Japanese national strategy is not only a reasonable demand but also a dangerous tendency. It is a very important academic problem as well as a significant policy research issue to study the development and changes of Japanese politicians deeply and to understand this tendency accurately.
