Before World War II, the Chinese have been living in the United States-based Chinese-American bachelor society. Marriage patterns mainly for the remote marriage, both men and women long-separated in two places. After World War II, as the United States immigration policy changes, the number of Chinese in the United States more and more, especially after 1965, Chinese immigrants grew much faster. With the new increase in the number of Chinese immigrants, the second generation of the Chinese growth, the Chinese marriage has undergone great changes. More couples can finally reunite, have a normal married life. Concept of marriage has also undergone a change, the old arranged marriage has been the new free marriage. Both men and women in marriage status, decision-making power and responsibility is heading toward a balance. Marital harmony, happiness is greatly improved compared to the past. Intermarriages become more frequent. Marriage speaking, more Chinese integrated into the United States. At the same time, Chinese marriages are still many aspects of the problems, still affecting the happiness of their marriage.On the whole, after the Second World War, resulting in a transformation of Chinese marriage due to various reasons.
