China is a well-known nation of ceremonial rites in the world. since ancient times, ceremonial rites are the most fundamental social phenomenon in ancient china ceremonial rites are also core of Chinese traditional culture and main part of culture of regulations in the beginning, ceremonial rites originated from sacrifice rites of religion in ancient society. since class society came into being , Being as sacrifice rites of religion, ceremonial rites began to have such a content that can distinguish social status, ceremonial rites gradually turned into a system of status in slave society and feudal society, the so-called feudal ceremonial rites have two characteristics ,one is being as rank system of politics, another is being as ethics and morality when being as rank system, ceremonial rites stress on rank, that is "king king lord lord father father ,son son," being as ethics andmorality, ceremonialrites"filialpiety,kindness, respectfulness,obedience,harmony,kernal,j ustice,etc," regulations " experiences a long period of developing process, developing of Chinese traditional regulations have deep historical connections with ceremonial rites along with developing of ceremonial rites , ceremonial rites ,being as the earliest ancient customs,, is gradually turned into forceful behavior rules ,some contents of ceremonial rites changed into part of regulations.Harmony between ceremonial rites and regulations experienced a long developing process, in regulations of Tang dynasty, many regulations on harmony between regulations and ceremonial rites were developed from former dynasties, such as Han dynasty ,till Tang dynasty because social political system was gradually bettered and also due to personal thinking of the second king of Tang dynasty combination of regulations and ceremonial rites was bettered too,《regulations of tang dynasty》was a classical work on harmony between regulations and decencies , in the《regulations of tang dynasty》and social life in Tang dynasty, spirit of harmony between law and ceremonial rites was reflected ,more importantly, while decencies is developed into Contemporary society, it is not only tools for class ruling ,but also possess current explanations , ceremonial rites gradually changed into professional morality family merits and social merits.Spirits of harmony between regulations and ceremonial rites influenced Contemporary society very much however ,current regulations ruling and morality ruling differ much from ancient regulations but both are essential means to uphold social order morality can advocate kindness while regulations can punish evils ,emphasizing one side too much while neglecting the other is wrong .at present ,what we should do towards regulations of Confucian school is to get its good points and get rid of its bad points .especially to use its traditional merits to serve Chinese socialism regulations system .
