Research On R&D And Innovation Systems Of Stockholm

"Innovation is the soul of a nation's progress, the inexhausting impetus behind a country's prosperity. "Human has stepped into an era of knowledge economy, competition and coorperation has gradually become main topics of international relations. Along with the process of globalization and the vanishing of international boundaries, region becomes the real entity of economic benefit, global competition has evolved into regional innovation competition. The North Europe's countries rapidly improve theirs R&D and innovation capacity, it has drawn attention from all sectors of society, but we are also lack of comprehensive and systematic study about regional R&D and innovation systems.Stockholm, as the world's highest R&D-intensive regions, its R&D and innovation systems' experience construction should be learned.In this article, under the guidance of the innovation system's theory, author firstly defines the concept of regional R&D and innovation systems, this lays the foundation for the following research. The author also analyses the development of Stockholm, found that Stockholm has become the highest density region of R&D and innovation in the world, and formed ICT and biomedical industry cluster which are the most global competitiveness and leading-edge.The composition of R&D and innovation system is the most important part in this article, it consists government,universities and research institutions,enterprises, and the goverment-industry-academia cooperation. The Government is the leader of the industry innovation, universities and research institutions are the implement of R&D and innovation activities by training and R&D, competitive enterprises are the main body of R&D and innovation activities, which also have led the formation of industrial clusters and promoted technological progress. The bodys in the R&D and innovation systems maintaine their own independent status, and also cooperate to conduct R&D and innovation activities, which formed unique mechanisms for government-industry-academia cooperation.The sound systems of innovation policy promotion, the good environment of innovation achievements into products, sound financial services environment, atmosphere of encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation, all of them built a good innovation environ ment,protected Stockholm's R&D and innovation activities effectively.Finally, Stockholm Science Park is the space carriers of the R&D of innovative system, most of R&D and innovation activities are in the enterprise in the Science Park. The Science Park provide a good platform and space for R&D and innovation, and actively promote them. The article gives a brief research on the Stockholm major science park, and takes KISTA Science Park as an example, construes how the Science Park carry out R&D and innovation activities.
