Research On China's Participation In The International Regime

Following the development of globalization, there are more and more global problems, the status of non-national behavior bodies is greatly improved, and the international cooperation becomes the mainstream of the international relations. Practically facilitating international dialog and cooperation and integrating the daedal international relations by the regime has become an important way to solve international contradictions and conflicts.This thesis makes a more systematic study on the generation and development of the international regime, as well as China's participation in the international regime. In the world today, the international regime plays a more and more vital role in the international politics. Moreover along with the further reform and opening, the urgency and the necessity of China's integration into the international community are becoming more intense, which requests us to have a comprehensive understanding to the generating background, the developing process and the main school of international regime. And the degree of China's participation in the international regime is an important mark that China moves towards the world and participates in the international cooperation. Looking back at history, China has experienced three stages roughly on its participation in international regime, from "observer" and "Challenger" in the 1950s and 1960s to "preliminary participant" in the 1970s and 1980s, then to "the comprehensive participant" in the 1990s. Furthermore, as times goes by China's participation in the international regime gets more comprehensive and practical, its localization is more accurate, and its function highlights gradually, which are exactly the three characteristics of China's participation in the international regime. Certainly China's participation in the international regime still faces a lot of challenges, China's role in international regime are restricted to some extent due to the limitation of strength and the level of development, the existence of super hegemony, the diversion of Taiwan problem as well as "the Chinese deterrence theory" and so on. In view of these challenges, this thesis has made a series of countermeasure considerations, such as adhering to the peaceful development path, promoting cooperation and the benefit of all, participating in the international regime positively, maintaining the national fundamental interests; constructing the Chinese international regime theory and carrying on theory innovation, etc.
